When you run the VNCSERVER command on your linux system, you want to specify a port
for the VNC server to run on:

vncserver :2

Then from another computer you would type SERVERNAME:2 in the VNC connect window.

You can run multiple VNC servers on your linux box, and each user can connect to a
different desktop, as you no doubt have discovered. But there is nothing stopping two
or more people from connecting to the same port. If they do, it works the same as on
a Windows box.

I tested this myself a few seconds ago. On my Linux server I ran VNCSERVER :2 to
start a server running. Then I went to two differnet Windows computers and used VNC
to connect to LINUXSERVER:2. I opened up a xedit window and when I typed something
from one computer it also appeared on the second windows VNC display. So the two
computers were sharing the linux desktop at the same time...just like Windows.

I hope this helps you with your problem.
