I installed RH 7.3 and set up VNC server on a remote machine. I use SSH + VNC from my RH 8.0 desktop and all I get is a "thatched" grey screen with the "x" cursor. My /etc/sysconfig/vncservers file looks like this: VNCSERVER="1:my_username"
I did some checking and I find many .x files in the root $HOME but not many in $HOME_my_username. Sure I have a .vnc directory but i am lacking the .Xresources and many others... any ideas what I may have done wrong and how I could get it to work??? ps.
