I already know I don't have an answer for the wallpaper question in regards to the
servicehelper,
but as far as I know, it will not function properly without it. Let me still offer
the following though:

1.The 'Add New Client', 'Disconnect All Clients' and 'Close VNC' all have Advanced
Settings
that can be changed to disable these functions if you follow the link I gave
previously.

2. Have you manually edited the registry at HKLM\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3\Default and added
the key there for the wallpaper options? If I'm right about the servicehelper being
needed, this
probably will not work though, but I definitely could be wrong.

3. If your whole object is to hide the tray icon then you could get a file resource
editor off the
web, edit the winvnc executable, and either replace the connected icon with the not
connected icon,
or else make both the connected and not connected icons within the program a solid
grey box. You
probably could edit the source code in some way, but I'm not much of a programmer, so
you're on
your own for that one Not perfect, but I don't think most people need to be connected
without the
user knowing it anyway.

In regards to the 'About WinVNC', I don't think there is anything that can be done if
you have the
servicehelper running.

Regards,
  Beau

The goal here is to have the servicehelper disabled, while keeping the
wallpaper displayed. If this is simply not possible, I will understand,
give up, and set AllowProperties to zero[*]. If it /is/ possible with
the current build of VNC, I have been instructed to implement it in this
manner.

[*]By the way, even though the Properties can't be modified this way,
all other options in the servicehelper are still accessible (eg. 'Add
New Client', 'Disconnect All Clients', 'About WinVNC', and most
importantly 'Close VNC').
