        I have a Win2k-pro based laptop that I lent to a mate - he's bringing it in to 
my work and I am going to interface it to our work system in a mini-LAN and see if 
THAT helps diagnose the issue. At least then I will be testing things BELOW the ADSL 
router's firewall, and eliminating the ISP-end of the issue.

        All problems have solutions. Some are nice and soft, some require hard
