If, you really need support for Windows/Mac/Linux, why not "host" the
files on a flash drive. They are XP, Mac and Linux compatible. Insert,
run, and eject. With most newer PCs having a USB port on the front, its
easy.

Very clean too, you do not have to move anything to the user's system. I
use flash drives for bring needed files around. I forget its in my pocket,
even! Until, I need it of course!
