Good. So we are now sure that it really is a PPC version of Linux. > Linux version 2.4.20 ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 3.2.3) #1 Di Feb 3 > 19:37:57 CET 2004 which has been compiled with gcc 3.2.3. > About what I am trying to achieve.... > > We have a Laptop with WLAN which we are using around the house. So you do want to to run the VNC Viewer on the Dreambox. > Unfortunately so far I have not been successful. > > I do not know if I should really just type "./vncviewer" into my telnet > session to start the viewer or if I should try to start the viewer in any > other way. Debian has support for many architectures, and has many versions of vnc available. Anyway. Other useful info at this point would be: The output of: echo $SHELL ls -l vncviewer file vncviewer With luck the Dreambox will have the 'file' command. If not, the last command will complain and not provide anything useful. An indication of how much you know about Linux might help, since it makes it easier to judge what kind of info to put into replies.
