Actually, you're using Win2k, right? So there's no such "Fast user switching" unless you're using a twisted feature.

Windows XP actually, but I don't use 'fast user switching' at the office because we're in a domain.

Your so-called "logon" screensaver (there's no such thing as a matter of fact) is just a screensaver with password protection, right? Try to change the screensaver.

Actually it was called 'logon' screensaver in 2000 I think. In XP it's named 'Windows XP' screensaver. The logon option is a toggle button that I have set by default.

As it appears now it seems that the logon option causes a desktop switch (not the screensaver). For some reason winvnc4 seems to be unable to switch to this new desktop.

I'm using VNC with XP too but I don't have this problem. What screen saver are you using? I'm using the "3D flower" and monitor is going into sleep mode, but still I have no problem.

Have you, by chance, enabled the "user quick switch"?

I have at home, not at the office where I made the trace. The screensaver I use is the 'logon' screensaver.
