Hi all, I administer a few hundred pc's for the state DOT in Arizona. We were looking into VNC because we have a small group of Macs. But I have to say, Real VNC is a very cool product. We've been using Dameware, and VNC is much cleaner, much more efficient. But I searched all over the site and couldn't find any info on whether or not there is a way for you to connect to a client without the server software installed. Does that make sense? For example, I would like to know if it's possible to use the viewer to try and connect to a client, without first installing the server software. So that when you connect to the client it automatically installs the server service for you.
I take it this would be a big security risk, but does anyone know of a way to configure the options and distribute this program across a large network... or am I going to have use built msi's from Microsoft? _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [email protected] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
