I am using VNC to establish a link to a remote workstation. My facility now has multiple T1 lines (4).
When my facility went from 1 T1 to 2 T1 lines, I noticed an occasional "dropout". During a dropout ( which lasts from 2-20 seconds) everything in the VNC window freezes. I cannot move subwindows in the VNC window. If I am typing while the dropout starts, the letters will stop appearing, only to reappear when the dropout ends. When my facility went from 2 T1 lines to 4 T1 lines, the problem was GREATLY aggravated. Dropouts occur nearly every other minute. Has anyone observed this? How can I correct this? Is VNC particularly sensitive to packet retransmission?
