Hey Ya'll Let me first say I have searched and searched and searched this!! I've got a mac running OsxVnc. Set up to use port 5901. I'm on alltel dsl. I've got a Speedstream 5200 (in router mode) and a Linksys WRT54g router. The 5200 handles my pppoe connections. I've tried forwarding ports 5501, 5801, and 5901 to 192.168.254.1 (and.2) on the 5200. I've forwarded the same ports on the linksys to my computers internal ip (192.168.x.x). The 5200 uses dhcp. I can't connect thru realvnc from work (a pc) to my mac. WHen I use gotomyvnc.com from home mac, it shows port 5901 responding only when the 5200 is set to forward 5901 to 192.168.254.2. BUt I still can't connect from work.
I've also tried setting the 5200 in brg mode. THen I let the linksys handle my pppoe. But, I kept losing my internet connection. I'm not really sure what was wrong there. So, I reset it to handle the pppoe, and reset the linksys to defaults. Can anyone help me out and walk me thru this setup?
