I installed realvnc vnc-4.1.1 on several windows 95 machines, after
first installing winsock2 and restarting w95. All looked OK, but nmap
showed no vnc port open and attempts to connect met with "not accepting
connections". I tried running vnc in a dos window of w95, but behavior
was the same. I contacted 2 users who complained of the same thing on
this list, and they had never found a solution.
Would anyone who has vnc running with windows 95 please describe their
setup:
- what vnc variant?
- what version?
- what startup batch file?
- any dependencies?
- any tricks?
Thanks,
Bob Barry
