Hi list,

I have two PC's... one Win XP, one Win 2K where I've installed VNC Server Personal Edition 4.2.5. For now, I'm just trying to connect to them on my internal network, but having some problems.

Configs:

Win XP - Fast-user switching is not enabled (only one user account), Remote Admin disabled, Win XP firewall disabled. Static IP address VNC - No authentication, no encryption (Prefer off), everything else left as default

Win 2K - No config changes from default setup. Static IP address.
VNC- Same as above

Network Environment:

All internal clients connected to switch. Apple Xserve acting as gateway. Firewall enabled - internal address block (192.168-net) allows all traffic (we're a small shop). All computers are "ping- happy" from one another.

Both PC's can see each other and connect, one to the other using VNC Viewer.

PowerBook G4 running Apple Remote Desktop 3.0 can see both PC's and return a "VNC On" status but cannot connect.

Same PowerBook G4 CAN connect to my Win 2K box at home running VNC Server Personal Edition 4.1.1

Any ideas why this wouldn't be working?

JL
