Hi Miguel, + extract the cal data asap - if it's called '3458ACalramExtract.exe' or '3458ACalibration.exe', the windows utility is my authorship btw. I'll see if I can dig up a newish build. It's a console app, use /? to get the parameters. + have a look at TiNs teardowns to familiarise yourself with the layout: https://xdevs.com/fix/hp3458a/ + take the top off the unit, get the chip date codes, see whether the cal chips are socketed, suck the dust off the filter etc. It's probably not necessary to say - but don't get fingerprints etc on the analogue & ref boards - treat them with proper respect. The other boards are fine to handle. + run the various tests e.g. SN18. + refurb with these parts when you get time: http://anagram.net/nuts/3458A/3458a%20refurb%20parts.xlsx . I bought some calram chips from DigiKey recently. The hardest part is the big capacitor '53D832G035JP7'. I found it at Avnet in 2015, but I can't see any stock there now. + don't worry, have fun
