That might explain why the number of previous cals' is relatively high for a newer unit.

I have a HP 8664A signal generator with an Agilent badge after it went back to Agilent. I'm sitting here waiting for knee surgery on Friday. Once I get past the surgery, I'll take a look. It has a Keysight logo on the front, so I just assumed it had current boards. I have been looking for one of these for a couple of years, and this one showed up in an auction in Fairbanks, AK, last November. I don't have much money in it and figure I can spend the money to have Keysight calibrate it for me. I am a little confused by "Keysight" from the serial number i am guessing mid 90's HP but that is just a guess. Does your 3458A have the full size A5 processor board? You are welcome to send me a photo of the A5 board (the one with the GPIB connector) and I can tell you more. I'm still trying to familiarize myself with all of the functions and learn how to use the meter. My question is this after I do a full AutoCAL, there is an error message 110 "Calibration Required." Can someone tell me what's going on? Does it need to go back to Keysight for calibration?
