I believe this is the same model the MFMP intends to get. The "expansion" is the calibration at the factory for that high temperature range. That is what MFMP is waiting for - there is a long queue for the calibration at the factory. MFMP will be having the camera they borrow calibrated identically to that of the Lugano experiment. The cost is for the calibration, not additional hardware as far as I know.
