I cannot imagine someone, especially a corp executive, is enough a gambler to give a non-functional reactor to physicist team, expecting they don't find a way to calibrate it up to target temperature, to use a known emissivity dot or fluid, to install a thermocouple, a bolometer, or simply to test the melting of a metal or make a simple high-school test...
I hope that the testers are working on an answer, and I feel concerned they did not yet. from far, and from the interest of all the domain (I know the skeptics tactics) it have to be fast and furious... hum, fast and serious. this is damage control. if Parkhomov is well replicated, damage can be controlled, but if not someone have to call Darden and ask at least for a dummy, as Peter Gluck is doing today. today important people start to move, if they are frightened by credible doubts, it will be terrible.
