Sorry, I meant neutrons. Takahashi measured neutrons during an experiment that produced heat and they appeared to be inversely proportional. I believe that is what inspired his theory.

Fritz Will and others commented that cells which produce a lot of tritium do not seem to produce heat. This is probably true only for bulk palladium. Arata's cells have produced lots of tritium in a few cases.
