The amount of tritium that is produced in this kind of experiment is
misleading in terms of determining the vigor of the reation that is
producing the tritium. Most of the tritium that is produced is stablized
into helium 3 by the reaction immediatly after its production. It is the
amount of helium 3 that is produced that reveals how vigorous the reaction
really is.
