Yes 2.1 deaths per hundred Chinese (from all causes) is two high - that figure was from the 1960s and they have made great progress since then, but the conclusion that the rate presently due to coronavirus is much higher (than being officially admitted) may be valid since the deaths quoted in Terry's site were for all of China, no just Wuhan. They could be hiding the scope of the pandemic.

Thus, in a normal year with normal flu rates, they would expect more than 10 million deaths from all causes. Since there are normally almost one million deaths per month in China expected - and being dealt with by the current infrastructure, the question resolves to this: what additional number could be effectively hidden by officials, at this point in time ? Who knows? but it could be larger that a few hundred thousand - and sadly we will probably find out the answer sooner rather than later ...
