Fred, Given that this kind of efficient electrolysis you have been talking about is a surface effect - why would you not maximize the surface area? such as by switching to a stainless steel foil, instead of tubes or plates - you should be able to get an order of magnitude (or several) more surface area for the same weight of stainless.... perhaps by forming two layers of SS-foil into a double "jelly-roll" spiral?
