Even the threat of doing this might convince them to deal more equitably with the Palestinians, which would resolve many of the problems in the Middle-East. Of course this isn't going to happen. Much of the aid Israel receives is in the form of arms and ammunition, so Dubya's buddies make a bundle on it at the expense of the American taxpayer. Furthermore, a militarily powerful Israel in itself is seen as safeguarding US oil interests in the region.
