Dave, Honestly it was not a dig, a mere statement of a fact. The fact is not a disgrace either, no-one can be expected to know everything. The remark might have been legitimately interpreted as an insult if I had stopped at that maybe, but instead I endeavoured to explain what you had missed in your shrewd objection that wires can't possibly emit positive stuff.
