Or ... get them both in Zicam. A few other excellent
choices:

Megadoses of C with bioflavinoids (polyphenols).

French cure: Oscillicoccinum (at least France is where
I found out about it)... this is in every health food
store in the US these days.

Dr Jeff sez:
I tell everyone they are risking their life if they
don't have this in their medicine chest. The flu
vaccine does not prevent the flu a lot of the time
even it you get the flu shot. Everyone needs this
homeopathic remedy.

Then, highly recommended - there is the fabulous
South-of-the-border medicine with proven anti-viral
ability: extract of giant aloe <g>

... i.e. the blue Agave, which is an aloe cactus that
looks a bit like it had been fertilized with some of
Barry Bond's steroids.

You may know it better, when distilled as tequila. Get
a good anejo for serious colds, like Tres
Generationes.

In a past issue of 'Daily Dose,' an e-letter written
by William Douglass, M.D. he calls certain alcohols
which have lots of bioflavinoids "liquid medicine." In
contrast, alcohol with low polyphenols (vodka)is
contra-indicated, so stay away from those.

Researchers in Mexico tested the toxin-inhibiting
effects of different species of cactus and found all
agave extracts significantly reduced the growth of
bacteria, and many stopped the production of toxins by
the bacteria which were not killed... but the blue
agave is the best of the best (even without
fermentation) as it is also antiviral.

The alcohol comes into play as a solute and carrier -
a way to get bioflavinoids through the digestive
system quickly.....
