JED; You would be absolutely correct about PICKENS & Hybrid Heavy Trucks
if those trucks were TRUELY HYBRID. They are not though. Most of the latest
socalled HYBRID HYPE out of Detroit is mostly 'Bull.' With a few 'tweeks' to
the mostly samo-samo designed power-trains these 'new' so-called hybrids
are nothing but the same old gasoline-only stuff getting a very 'few' more
miles to the gallon.

A true 'hybrid system' for Heavy-Trucking would emulate the diesel-electric
systems of modern Train Locomotives. None of this is on the docket so far.
And Coca-Cola merely needs NOW whatever is available and is will to ride
whatever hype-train the dealers are pitching to upgrade their fleet.
This is just 'business as usual' expedience.

And PICKENS dire oil rise in price MIGHT be a perception that SWISS
MANIPULATED decimated markets JUST MIGHT BE A MANIPULATION
to foment the good old tried and true solution START ANOTHER
WORLD CONFLAGERATION. And the SHEIKS will MAKE A KILLING and
will SURE AS GOD MADE LITTLE GREEN APPLES they will GOUGE the
CRAP out of OIL PRICES to supply the WAR MACHINE coming soon
at a DETROIT, & LOCKHEAD-MARTIN, & BOEING near you.

TRUST THIS: The Industrial-Military-Complex is NOT GOING GREEN
any time soon. . . .

PICKENS is trying to PRAGMATICALLY save us from the likely
BIG OIL GOUGE via OPEC aka the 'terror sponsors.'
And that is likely why he pushes a HYBRID-NATURAL GAS-ELECTRIC system for heavy
trucks.
And that makes good sense because in the 4-Corners U.S. Rocky Mountain Oil Patch
& Canada combined, the ALREADY DRILLED NATURAL GAS wells which are
currently CAPPED have a very MANY YEAR's domestic supply of natural gas
available at
the TURN OF A SWITCH. This is my original Professional Field.

PICKENS pushes the above as merely an INTERIM MEASURE towards the more
exotic technologies such as all electric & hydrogen fuel cell technologies but
with the caveat of that being pragmatic mostly for automobiles.
He believes that the NATURAL GAS-ELECTRIC
hybrid technologies for 18 Wheelers needing LARGE TORQUE capacity while
autos go ALL GREEN will be the best bet on the road.

Personally I'm looking for a MAJOR HIGH SPEED MAG-LEV NATIONAL & Urban
transportation
& freight-hauling grid to replace CONVENTIONAL RAIL & OVER-THE-ROAD Trucking as
well. High Speed
Mag-Lev passenger trains would also tend to GREATLY OBVIATE the need for
CLOGGING OUR SKYS
WITH HIGH CARBON-POLLUTING jet airliners. On take-off alone the standard 747
etc. eats
more Oxygen(CRAPPING CO2) than EVERY AUTOMOBILE & truck in the LA-METRO area
consumes together in
a total week. Again that's just the TAKE-OFF.

AND EXOTIC Gray-Singularity Reactor Physics NATIONAL POWER-GRIDS would cover
this nicely & WE ARE ON
THE DOOR STEP of having such TECHNOLOGIES BE AVAILABLE.

And hopefully PRESIDENT OBAMA can finally leap-frog the STATUS QUO ENERGY
BROKERS and
implement these systems. Ultimately the final stage of these things becoming a
reality with
needs BLOW OUT ALL STOPS to emulate the scale of the MANHATTAN PROJECT.

But it's time to DREAM BIG and truely REACH BEYOND OUR GRASP once again! Ciao,
Jake~;-)
