He was being sarcastic when he called himself a prankster.
He was reacting to the negative comments people made about his videos
posted in March and April.
Sure it may be faked. If batteries are hidden in the wood how do they connect
to the motor? In one video (see link below) he lifts that stator assembly off the wood and we can see
that it was simply resting on the wood.
