Good idea. The same technology could also be applied towards the regulation of dietary consumption when several pets reside in the same residence. Each pet would contain their own rfid signature/id fastened to their collar. Each pet, in turn, would have a unique receiver with the appropriate rfid reader tuned to their food dish. The dish would only open up when the appropriate pet with the correct rfid id collar approaches it. The bowl would automatically close up when no rfid signature is detected, or if a different pet and different rfid signature approaches. This would solve a lot of headaches in the management of varied dietary requirements for our family pets.
