What an odd pair of statements!

I thought so myself. "Confirm" would mean, one would think, "reproduced." However, it probably means that sometimes there is a confirming result, sometimes not. I.e., unknown variable.

Not ready for prime time. On the other hand, this kind of work should be published in excruciating detail on-line; that, then, helps other workers to investigate and explore. Early maps should never be considered authoritative, but build up from multiple independent reports.
