Yes, that's pretty obvious.
A few comments about this Oriani / Curie project protocol, in the
light of the SPAWAR 2009 paper (

1/ It's light water. SPAWAR 2009 reported success with light water,
but with four orders of magnitude less tracks, i.e. in about the same
ratio as the natural proportion of heavy water in light water, so they
suggest it's really a deuterium phenomenon.
2/ The cathode substrate is nickel i.e. it's hydrogen permeable.
SPAWAR reports better results with cathode wires made of non hydrogen
permeable metal, but since the Oriani-Curie electrolyte contains no
hydrogen permeable plating metal --no plating metal at all actually--,
one can well imagine that a hydrogen permeable cathode is mandatory
for LENRs to occur in those cells!
3/ Their tubular cell geometry inspired to me a dirt cheap Mylar
protected cell design for your kit, criticisms welcome:
- a simple plastic or glass tube, open at both ends, with its bottom
end smooth (no burrs), e.g. a test tube with its closed end cut off,
used upside down.
- wrap the Mylar film on the bottom of the tube, so that it forms a
flat horizontal window at the bottom, and the rest of the film is
folded back and taped on the tube, with all its edges reaching above
the water line to contain any electrolyte leakage
- put your detector sandwich flat under the Mylar window, and tape it
to the tube too
- install your electrodes like Oriani did (cathode rests on the bottom
Mylar window, anode above it)
Admittedly ugly, but no glue or gasket or other exotic material in
contact with the electrolyte, and think of the money you save :)

You could just use a Mylar film bag to hold the electrolyte and skip
the tube altogether, or just use a support around the outside of the
bag made of most anything. That would provide a disposable cell lining.
Spawar just holds the assembly against the side of the cell using
magnets or a clip. By using the side of the cell any leakage flows
downward. This might be a useful thing if counting equipment is
placed up close to the cell. Also, side access is just convenient for
things like cameras, etc.
Six micron film breaks easily. Oriani used rubber o-rings to seal at
the bottom, which has its own set of problems. It is of course
feasible to line the outside of the cell with a bag and still use a
side access port. It is also possible to put the CR-39 into the cell
enclosed in a bag, which is the technique Scott Little developed.
Personally, I like the edge-on-grid idea, because the CR-39 only is
exposed to pressure across mall diameter holes, and is thoroughly
held in place between a flat cathode and another flat layer, either a
discriminator layer, detector layer, or photography window.
