Jack Smith writes on 2-15-10: Expansion of the Earth can be explained by the continuous creation of matter as proposed by Hoyle and Narlikar, and as demonstrated by Halton Arp in his exaination of quasars. Arp thinks that newly formed protons are red shifted but become blue-shifted as they age (and gain mass). I find this theory far less absurd than the Big Bang. Hi All, Earth is bombarded every day with thousands of tons of ice from space and, despite the dissociation of water molecules and the loss of hydrogen, is gradualy becoming a water world.
