Just another excellent opinion being express here... (MINE, of course!)

There seems to be much discussion about "tactics" and MOs... and,
sigh..., I think we miss the most important point of all.

Much of Rossi's predilections, warts and all, strike me as highly
altruistic in nature. Altruism is a rare human trait of the highest
order that can be bestowed on a human being.

Of course, Rossi & Focardi win *IF* their company makes millions...
no, BILLIONS of dollars. But few here think that's likely to happen.
Apparently, Rossi has reservations too, and it doesn't seem to bother
him all that much. That's the crucial clue here! (Rossi & Focardi
probably have pretty decent retirement packages, and one can only
spend so much on personal indulgences.)

But Rossi & Focardi also win if competition takes all the hard work
and research they labored over, over the past 10-15 years to the
cleaners and duplicates the results with absolutely no concern and/or
conscience about compensation. Indeed, there's a high probability that
Rossi & Focardi's "competitors" will quickly tweak the system just so
and start implementing even better, meaner & cleaner, cheaper energy
devices.

Nevertheless, I think history will document the fact that Rossi &
Focardi played an incalculable role in starting it all. They
accomplished what they set out to do by having audacity to suggest
that such an AE concept was even conceivable. They followed through on
their convictions.

Win or lose, both win either way. Their dream is realized. As Rossi &
Focardi eventually pass through the final stages of old-age to a final
resting place I think they can take comfort in the fact that they
helped played an incalculable role in improving the condition of
humankind. They can take comfort in the fact that they helped make the
planet a better place for their children to live in. In Rossi &
Focardi's case, their "children" comprise 7 billion highly
disorganized, opinionated, eccentric in-laws - in-laws that often seem
to spend more time than is necessary arguing about the color of the
toilet paper that should be installed in the master bathroom.
Fortunately, in-laws tend to only descend (with personal issues in
hand) around the holidays, leaving the rest of the year pretty much up
to puttering about.

As the VISA commercial goes: "Priceless."
