Hi,
I've to agree with Jed, as it seems that unfortunately Wikipedia is
growing towards like the other hyped stuff such as Twitter, Facebook
etc. focused to much on dealing with presenting egos and their views.
I've noticed this already in wikipedias in several languages (e.g.
English, German, Dutch)!
On the other hand Wikipedia contradicts itself in differing languages
about "simple" facts as composition of for instance composition of
food-sources (e.g. grains) or details about elements in the periodic
system, which you would think is everywhere the same on Earth, but the
data in the tables sometimes tell a total different story, as if you
were looking into data related to two totally different planets!
I.s.o. of the Ego-over-moderation that now takes place Wikipedia should
focus a lot more on consistency and correctness of actual verifiable
data presented.
This is usually called Quality Assurance and Configuration Management;
which is a professional expertise that many Wikipedia-moderators
completely seem to lack.
Kind regards,
MoB
