Suppose, for the same of argument, John Berry is right, and there is no hard
evidence bin Laden did this. In that case, here is an important lesson from
that video:

In the event someone kills 3,000 Americans in a terrorist attack, you should
not go around bragging that you masterminded the attack. Especially, don't
brag on video if you happen to be a credible suspect. Someone is likely to
come and shoot you, even 10 years later.

If Berry is right and this is a big misunderstanding, Mr. bin Laden  should
have had enough sense to surrender himself to authorities at the nearest
U.S. Embassy. He would have been treated humanely and he would have been
given every opportunity to clear up the misunderstanding and go free, since
the goal of the U.S. has been to find the perpetrators, not to punish the
wrong people.
