I recall Rossi saying that the loss in the body of the ecat (before the hose) is 80W. Plus the 30W used to drive the control box. It's the INPUT energy that gets lowered. In fact, the 770-30=740 Watts might not even reach the steam zone at all.
In THIS paper I'm only going as far as the outlet from the eCat, where it connects to the hose.
