Wow! That is cheap. I had no idea they were so cheap.
I wonder what a 250 kW steam turbine and generator would cost? It might
be a lot more expensive. I doubt there is much of a market for that
because people use diesel in that range. I think most steam turbines are
much bigger. Maybe they have some for the combined heat-and-power market
(cogenerators).
There are some small hydroelectric generators these days. Itty-bitty
ones in China, so people in a village can watch TV.
Natural gas fired cogenerators are popular in Japan. They have them in
big buildings in Tokyo.
