Very poor. I was testing only one aspect of the claim: the effect of trapped air under plastic tape (strapping tape) and foam insulation. People here have claimed that trapped air and metal at a different temperature nearby will significantly affect a temperature measured at the surface of a pipe. I realize I used the wrong kind of pipe. The main thing is, the thermal mass of water going through the pipe is huge compared to everything else. It dominates. In Rossi's system a lot more water is flowing through than I can manage with the bathroom sink. - Jed
