2052-global forecast II I basically agree with the assessment of the Club, which is based on extrapolation of kwown physics and technical methods.
The interesting aspect ofcourse is, that LENR disrupts the dystopian vision and allows to recover the cornucopian one. WRT that, Jed is very sensible,and he even considers the aspect, that LENR is not the soultion to all of our problems, and cites Rifkin, Horgan amongst others. Now Horgan with his 'end of science' is not such an easy target as Jed suggests. LENR maybe buys us 1 million more energy units wrt chemical energy per unit of time. He probably agrees with that, -or must- in that it buys us ten doublings. Not more. This is THINKING-time. Hopefully we use that wisely.
