On the other hand, as a reporter, with a news story - a technology as profound as this, you should have been banging on Rossi's door everyday demanding some answers. Or digging on Rossi's trash wouldn't be out of the question for a big story like this. I wonder why you seem to think there is "nothing to follow up". This is an apathetic attitude on your part.
Sure, as a journalist, there are tons of things for you to follow up and investigate. For example, I'd like to know where Rossi's factory is. That would be something easy for you to investigate. You know, I believe you're indifference is due to directives from higher management to quell this story. You are part of the conspiracy to bury this technology, and if not, just to discredit it.
