Arata and others claim that nanoparticle gas loaded Pd lasts much longer then electrochemically loaded bulk Pd, and it produces more stable heat. I do not think the electrochemical technique can ever be used for a practical source of energy. We should pursue it for scientific reasons, to learn the nature of the reaction. - Jed
