Of course, Rohner will try to spin this as "suppression" ... LOL - but it is the furthest thing from suppression.
All he had to do to avoid this was to live up to the claims he made to investors or even try to explain why he failed so many times. He could never show a running engine, and kept taking money based on the false claims and lies that he had one. He was (or will be) busted for investment fraud just like Mike Brady. In fact, the raid of this decades-old scam is overdue. It is often a fine-line with new technology - where lots of leeway - tons of leeway - should be given at first about claims, since there are always delays. But this is a new version of an old scam going back decades. The Rohners doubled-down on past failures with a poorly worded patent having no useful content, and yet could show minimal real data. They had a cheesy engine that looks like a giant toy or studio prop, which does not work, but really nothing else but lies and hot-air (poppers). The Rohners could have been shut-down years ago, at least so far as seeking funds from new investors. Again, it is a fine-line but getting rid of scammers is the only way that honest cutting edge researchers gets enough support. There are "angel" funders out there, but often they do not see the negative opinions, and then the scammers step in. A few of the long-time scammers, like Greg Watson seem to have radar for avoiding the raid, but Rohner did not. Essentially, Feynman's dramatic misdeed at the original the SoCal Papp demo where there was a fatality in which Feynman was held responsible - that is the underlying sentiment that the scammers have played on with Papp. But in the end, anyone with half a brain could see through these Brothers, who even ratted on each other to provide some of the evidence that will be used. Yet part of the reason that they stole as much money as they did was lack of stronger criticism (and even occasional support) from special interest groups like vortex. I posted half a dozen negative opinions, but was surprised by the number regular posters here who fell for this. Some poster, like Axil were openly and strongly supportive. Even Sterling Allan back-tracked on his early support of the Rohners. When Sterling finally sees the light on one of his former Top 10, run for cover. Barnum was right. Barnum lives on today in many guises, one of which is Rossi ... AR's factory, you remember the one in Florida where he supposedly has the robots churning out E-Cats :) ... is where a cynic (SWIM) could easily predict that the next FBI raid will take place ... but only if (or when) the "big investor" gets fed-up with the constant lies.
