*Yet part of the reason that they stole as much money as they did was lack of stronger criticism (and even occasional support) from special interest groups like vortex. I posted half a dozen negative opinions, but was surprised by the number regular posters here who fell for this. Some poster, like Axil were openly and strongly supportive. Even Sterling Allan back-tracked on his early support of the Rohners. When Sterling finally sees the light on one of his former Top 10, run for cover.*
I feel I have been misrepresented by this statement. I would like to list some posts reflecting some of negative opinions regarding John Rohner. -------------------------------------------------------------- No, No, No JR is not producing a plasmoid. When Russ put continuous high voltage into the cylinder, nothing happened, no piston movement. But when Russ created a plasmoid, the piston moved forcefully. Russ had no coil when his piston moved vigorously. *If you believe JR, you are in for heartbreak.* ============================================================ Someone posted on Russ’s site that most of the videos about the Papp engine are currently disabled. I checked a few and its true. Why would the Rohners do this? Could it be that the open source Papp engine effort is just far too productive for comfort? Could it be that Russ has done more to bring back the Papp technology in a month than the Rohner’s have accomplished in 30 years? Russ back engineered the Papp popper hardware down to the centimeter right from those videos; a very impressive accomplishment in my opinion. We all know that the best way to motivate the development of any product is to encourage fierce competition. The first developer who can demonstrate over unity in power production will have all those disgruntled Rohner investors… you get the idea. Even without the explicit intention, I think that could be underway shortly. The Papp engine is just so attractive that it inspires con men and charlatans in unlimited numbers including Papp himself. *The Rohners spent years learning at the feet of Grandfather Papp, all of it, the good, the bad and the ugly. * *For all those who would aspire to the vision and the dream that the true Papp technology can be, these men of good and stout heart must be ever vigilant and watchful of scandal in this regard.* I am sure that if there is anything to the Papp engine, Russ and his friends will dig it out in the most up front, honest, straightforward and well documented manner that they can muster. Cross posted on vortex. ================================================== If you noticed in the video… At the beginning of the video, the balloon inflates relatively well. As time goes on, the vigor of inflation gradually decreases until 2:00 into the video the strength of inflation of the balloon is very weak and has almost stopped. J. Rohner then stopped the spark input and talked for a few minutes. JR then restarts the spark input and the balloon recovered its ability to inflate. This behavior is due to the buildup of feedback current that is not being dissipated after each cycle of spark excitation. In addition, this behavior is more pronounced if a high reputation rate of sparking is initiated *JR seems to recognize that this behavior is to be expected and will occur from what his says.* *If any of audience who frequent this site go to the Tesla tech demo conducted by JR, ask him to show a extended period of high repetition rate sparking. This will cause the inflation of the balloon to fail in minutes due to a buildup of feedback current.* Russ has shown a video that demonstrates pressure increase of argon during sparking in a PVC pipe based spark chamber. This video also shows one of his high voltage capacitors exploding due to the buildup of feedback current. ====================================================== I believe that power is produced in both the contraction phase as well as the expansion phase of the Papp cycle. So far, what Russ has showed us is just the power produced by the expansion phase of the cycle. He has not yet engineered the controls for the contraction phase of the Papp cycle. When Russ adds that control logic for the contraction phase of the Papp cycle, the power produced will increase by some fraction and may well double, the cycle will be repeatable and in a rapidly cyclic fashion. To reiterate at this juncture, Russ has shown us a “one off” expansion of the first half of the first cycle. The question you might now ask is what controls the contraction of the noble gas mix. And how do we maximize the power produced by that contraction. I believe that this contraction is controlled by rapidly draining the charge injected into the noble gas mix by the spark discharge. This charge is removed by the feedback current. If you remember, Russ first saw this current in action when his diodes blew out because his insolating spark gap was too small. The charge that produces this current is what causes the green florescent glow of the helium gas. This glow was seen is the "Christmas glass experiment" that Russ performed, if you remember. Bob Rohner uses this current to run a small motor. And Papp used this feedback current to power the next cylinder in his engine. The timing of the draining of the feedback current is how we can control the speed of the Papp cycle. *John Rohner does not think that the feedback current is important and does not drain it; this is a reason why I think John Rohner does not yet have a working Papp engine concept.* On Thu, Mar 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM, Jones Beene <[email protected]> wrote: > Of course, Rohner will try to spin this as "suppression" ...
