In the Rossi reactor, Polaritons are produced by heating the nickel micro-particles. Heat is initially required to produce enough polariton activity to get the LENR reaction going. Because Rossi keeps his reactor subcritical, heat must be applied periodically to rekindle the LENR reaction.
Yes, the energy from the nucleus produces heat in the Ni/H LENR reaction. So heat can come from either the nucleus or an electrical resistance heater.
