It is possible that the pattern of heating and cooling somehow triggers the reaction and this pattern is what Rossi is trying to hide. This pattern may not be complicated. Suppose it is simple. Suppose you heat the sample sharply at first, and then back off the input power. That is how Fleischmann and Pons triggered their boil off events. Even if it is simple, it is still worth a great deal of money if he can file a patent on it before the secret gets out. Fleischmann and Pons did not use RF at all. It was purely thermal stimulation. - Jed
