Done. Here is the next paper-chase suggestion: “Hydrogen-like ions”
“Experiments with the hydrogen-like ions Ne-20, S-32, Ar-40, Fe-54 and
Ni-62” was a paper that came up in following the cyberspace trail out of
Brasimone to destinations unknown…
(BTW Brasimone itself is not far from Bologna).
Hmmm…. “hydrogen like ions” and Ni-62 makes for an interesting thread, but
how does one remove 27 electrons from Ni-62 to get there … in condensed
matter ?
Short answer: maybe you do not “really” remove the electrons… you make the
nickel into a virtual hydrogen-like ion by supplying the deepest Rydberg
electron…??
