It sounds like a lot of you seriously need to carefully watch Elizabeth Warren's "The Coming Collapse of the Middle Class<http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=akVL7QY0S8A#t=1674>" and consider the consequences of her very well researched numbers.
Basically, her numbers state that the inflation figures issued by the government are not just a little off -- they are grotesquely off. The cost of forming a family has increased in real terms a factor of 3 to 4 since 1970. This has resulted in such an enormous demographic collapse in the US -- 10s of millions children foregone for financial reasons -- that it would be considered genocide if it had been deliberate. Indeed, by replacing the non-existent children with immigrants, the program goes beyond simple depopulation to population replacement. You just can't do this kind of thing to a nation and believe you're going to get away scott free. Something horrible is going to happen, guaranteed. The unconditional basic income is what you'll get if you are damn lucky.
