In fact, even if they had a section on calorimetry and another on mass spectroscopy ready today, I would recommend publishing them separately. The claims are related of course, but they should stand on their own merits. They call for different instruments and techniques, and a different area of expertise. The calorimetry people should present their case, and the mass spec people should present their case in another paper. - Jed
