Actually, it refers to Randell's unique hybridization of S(tandard)QM and the concept of an orbitsphere: an electron which is a two dimensional membrane about the nucleus, among other intuitively pleasing concepts. Read the book, it's less than 1000 pages, IIRC. :-)
