Well, time to dust off my early edition GUT/CQM hardback,
which is from the late nineties and I wonder if it is the oldest of any
among active vortex posters.
Hi Jones,
My copy is copyright 1996 and has 557 pages. I don’t have time
to actively participate but I do still read most of the messages.
I agree with all of Mills’ objections to SQM but I have my own
GUT ideas which include other reasons for sub ground states
with somewhat different energy levels and mechanisms for
formation. I like Mills for the large number of good experiments
which prove for me the existence of below ground energy states
in hydrogen. Unlike Mills my theory does not allow easy calculation
of the exact energy levels for fractional states but the first few
states should be similar. The theory is an extension of the Puthoff
ground state EM equilibrium calculations.

It is only about 750 pages but a small chunk of the
background material was plagiarized. A lame excuse was given for this
“oversight” by Randy, but he lied about the extent of it in his mea culpa to
HSG. It is more than a “few pages.”
Worst of all –following this history – we find that it is in
the character of Mills to continue to fail to give proper attribution, even
today. He has not mentioned the rich history of water explosion experiments
- which led directly to … well … to what he may or may not have to show
soon. Graneau et al. or heirs should be upset over this continuing failure
to account for the history of the field. BTW here is some recent work from
an undergrad at Stanford who may have validate Graneau (or not):

Back to the problem of vanity. Can it be reasonably
suspected that one reason the price of these old volumes is so high is that
Mills, through an agent - has been paying top dollar to get the old ones off
the market, due to the “oversight”? Awkshully, I’d probably sell mine for
$700 if it wasn’t so marked up over the years. However, that price will
probably go up if there finally is a successful demo from “America’s
Newton”.
One of the important details which was uncovered in the
early days by having this volume handy - and even Mills probably missed it
(since it was not mentioned anywhere) was in understanding the reactivity of
potassium for f/H – which according to the Table 5.2 has the IP hole at the
deep level of enthalpy 81.77 eV … a level of extreme ionization that would
almost never be reached in electrolysis; and yet in such fine experiments as
those done by Thermacore, substantial gain was seen for an extended period
at modest temps - which by the way – Mills almost never acknowledged as
being the best proof for his theory for many years.
Having said all this – Mills is admittedly a near-genius at
the theoretical level, but what he has now (assuming that he can show
something valid, this time) could easily have been shown as early as 1995-6
had RM not been trying to cover up the fact that it is basically another
form of LENR, and had he taken advantage of the huge Thermacore advances
(instead of ignoring them). Vanity.
That is almost ancient history but in the big picture...?
Was it a missed opportunity that historians will determine essentially
allowed OPEC to become trillions of dollars richer, possibly even a missed
opportunity that contributed to the US going to war in the Mid-East over
oil… (does anyone really think that WMD was anything more than a poor excuse
to secure oil, which then led to 9/11 etc, etc ?) Vanity of vanities.
An older prophet of Vanity (Mills is younger profit for
vanity) said it best: there is no new thing under the sun…. There is no
remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of
things that are to come with those that shall come after.
… guess that is a day early… or a week or
two if the demo happens in July…

Actually, he didn't really remove the
obstacle. When you go to Blacklight Power's website you would expect the
book to appear under the "Publications" tab….It doesn't….Here's the URL for
the GUTCP book download:
http://www.blacklightpower.com/theory/book/book-download/
Good news for Eric: he doesn’t have to pay
$789 for GUTCP. It is available as a free download from the website, like
most of Mills’ initial postings. For the 90 journal papers a fee is charged
by the journal publishers for reprints. But ten, he has to actually read it.
You have removed a significant obstacle to
my reading it. Now I will plan to read it as soon as I find the motivation
to do so.
Eric
