Einstein and the Kaluza-Klein particle <Snip> In his search for a unified field theory that could undercut quantum mechanics, Einstein considered five dimensional classical Kaluza-Klein theory. He studied this theory most intensively during the years 1938-1943. One of his primary objectives was finding a non-singular particle solution. In the full theory this search got frustrated and in the Five dimensional-independent theory Einstein, together with Pauli, argued it would be impossible to find these structures. <EndSnip> The LENR SPP soliton might well be the Kaluza-Klein particle that Einstein was looking for. Einstein was looking for an EMF induced magnetic monopole soliton that could connect electromagnetism to gravity in the five dimensional classical Kaluza-Klein theories. He gave up on this five dimensional classical Kaluza-Klein theory when no such soliton could be found. I can see how this EMF induced monopole could connect EMF to gravity as described in earlier posts. The SPP solition could generate mass via the Higgs field and therefore produce gravity as a instance of dark matter. So someday LENR not only can explain dark energy and dark matter but provide a means to link quantum mechanics and gravity together in a grand unification of all the forces of nature.
