It would be wise to temper enthusiasm for Va’vra by saying that these slides
alone are not enough to draw the conclusion which was offered earlier, and
should be considered in the context of Naudts calculation.

Va’vra presents a lot of data, and to pick out the important emission line –
it helps to know what line one is looking for, since there are multiple
conclusion which can be taken away from some of the slides. The two graphs
on page 35 are the most important to my thinking, but that is because Naudts
has predicted values at 3.7 keV whereas Va’vra does not emphasize this.

Va’vra also does not have benefit of the recent cosmological data but even
so, he seems to realize that dark matter can be identified as f/H –
fractional hydrogen in the DDL.

This Va’vra paper from 1998 is remarkable new physics. This
paper (slide show) is equating the DDL as the “real” hydrogen ground state.
The new ground-state is achieved with a photon emission of 3.7 keV (or 4.2
Angstroms wavelength). However, Va’vra talks about higher energy levels from
transitions but 3.7 keV is adequate for LENR. This emission line spectra (1
keV to 10 keV) has been essentially invisible to most of physics until
recently and Va’vra built his own device (“invisible” - kind of like the
terahertz range in terms of lack of access with off-the-shelf instruments).

This could be the most important paper in LENR since 1989.
Andrew Meulenberg sent it around: "ON A POSSIBILITY OF EXISTENCE OF NEW
ATOMIC LEVELS, WHICH WERE NEGLECTED THEORETICALLY AND NOT MEASURED
EXPERIMENTALLY" which Va'vra gave in 1998 at Siegen University, Germany. It
is an amazing slide show and it has been neglected for 16 years- essentially
until observers started noticing the cross-connection of “dark matter”
emission to this state, which is also the impetus behind LENR – as the title
of this thread suggests. Va’vra actually mentions dark matter, but he was
more than a decade ahead of his time.

Sooner or later, CMNS will also pick up on a most important
factoid about the DDL – which has been mentioned here many times – which is
its increased magnetic field intensity (and its negative near field – which
actually prohibits nuclear fusion) – but who needs fusion !?!

Answer: no one needs fusion for LENR and “cold fusion” is
dead. We have a ready-made source of energy in DDL without fusion! As to
whether this source is real nuclear energy - is not of greatest concern for
the immediate future. We have identified what is likely to be the proximate
cause of LENR and it will not long until this is tied (most likely through
nanomagnetism and spin coupling) to the ultimate cause.

The magnetic field of an atom of hydrogen or deuterium,
based on the single electron, when aligned in a fixed vector is 12.5 T at
the circumference of the atom. On shrinkage from approximately 50 pm to .1
pm in radius, the DDL has an increased magnetic field of 500^2 or a factor
of 250,000 times greater field intensity. The electric near field would be a
similar increase. That is too much to overcome for actual fusion, but again
– we do not need fusion since the energy from the DDL state is thousands of
times greater than chemical.
