I suspect that the 4He in the PdD experiments is perhaps not from d+d fusion. I'm very curious about a lithium-related reaction of some kind; e.g., 7Li(p,α)α. The Q value for this particular reaction is 16.84 MeV. If I recall correctly, Ed would strongly disagree. I believe Ed would say that 4He is found in PdD experiments in which there is no lithium. But I think such a statement would need to be closely examined. I vaguely recall that the value of 24 MeV per 4He that was derived for the helium experiments is subject to large error bars. Eric
